In my post of 4/12/2013, I introduced my technique to give my paintings a three dimensional feel by continuing the painting scene around to the sides of the panel.
The following photos illustrate how I applied this technique to my recent Hello and Twin Lights paintings.

HELLO
TWIN LIGHTS
This technique is both fun and challenging! First, I prepare the sides of the wooden panels with a coat or two of GAC-100 to seal the surface. then it takes care to preserve the perspective as you round the corner. But it also gives you an opportunity to enhance the story of the image, as in the case where I show the boat that has left its wake across the front plane of the painting disappearing on the left edge of the painting!
